Dr. Fabienne Bossuyt is an assistant professor at the Centre for EU Studies at Ghent University, where she teaches several courses within the Master’s programme, including a seminar on the EU’s relations with the post-Soviet space and the EU’s international development policy. Her doctoral research focused on the EU’s influence in post-Soviet Central Asia. She is currently preparing a monograph based on her PhD dissertation, which will be published by Palgrave Macmillan. Next to contributions to several edited volumes, her publications include articles in European Foreign Affairs Review (2009, 2011 and 2013), European Journal of Contemporary Research (2013), European Integration online Papers (2013), Comparative European Politics (2014), Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management (2014) and Democratization (2014) and Cambridge Review of International Affairs (2015). Fabienne is currently guest-editor of a special issue of the journal East European Politics and Societies, which focuses on the role of the EU member states from Central and Eastern Europe on the EU’s policies towards the post-Soviet space. She has appeared as an expert on Euronews.
